When two friends share the same creative passions, wonderful things can happen. That’s how Lady Bug Lace came about. Rita Traxler and Debbie Holland started sewing when they were very young. When they realized they shared similar interests in quilting, sewing and designing, they decided to combine their artistic talents into a business that would bring joy to others and inspire creativity.

Lady Bug Lace is a pattern design company dedicated to providing custom designs, patterns and kits that incorporate fabulous fabrics in colorful arrangements with easy step-by-step instructions to ensure the enjoyment of all you purchase them. We strive to inspire our customers to experience the relaxation, joy and satisfaction of sewing and quilting.

Meet Debbie

Although Debbie and her husband have owned many businesses, ranging from a computer consulting firm to a print shop, her true passion has always been creating, whether it is in woodwork, painting, stained glass, sewing or quilting. As a girl, she fought with her four sisters for the best fabrics in her mother's stash with which to make her own clothes. Now as a grandmother, Debbie loves to involve her three granddaughters in creative projects and can't wait to teach them to sew!

Meet Rita

Rita has been sewing since the tender young age of nine. Her friends refer to her as the connsumate "perfectionist", which can be attributed to her first sewing teacher in 4-H, who made her rip out the zipper in her first skirt over and over until it was perfect. Rita founded "Itty Bitty Designs", a company that created clothing patterns for the ever popular "Beanie Babies".  Her creative talents have found their way ino her full time job where her quilts hang in the dental office she manages, enjoyed by both patients and staff!
